MiniArc™ Single-Incision Sling Gynecologic SurgeryServices

The MiniArc™ Single-Incision Sling is the latest generation of sling solutions from AMS, offering a less invasive approach to correcting urine leakage. Unlike other procedures, the MiniArc requires just one incision to surgically place a small narrow strip of mesh material - called a sling - under the urethra to give it more support and prevent accidental urine leakage.

MiniArc's many benefits include:

  • A single-incision approach that reduces the potential for pain
  • Procedure uses a smaller implant and is faster to perform than traditional sling surgeries
  • Outpatient procedure that can be done under local anesthesia
  • Use of proven AMS mesh that facilitates healing

Sling procedures require surgery and are not recommended for everyone, especially if you are pregnant, or have blood coagulation disorders, a compromised immune systems, renal insufficiency or upper urinary tract obstruction. Inflammation and irritation may occur after surgery. Future pregnancies may cause you to become incontinent again. You should talk with your doctor about benefits and risks before moving forward with any treatment option.
